Frequently asked questions
How do I unlock skins?
There are two ways:
- Keep tapping: hit your daily goal (108 taps) 21 days in a row to unlock one skin, then another every 21 days after that.
- Buy it: ¥6 per skin, or ¥38 for the full set of 10 (37% off). Purchases are restored automatically when you sign in on a new device with the same Apple ID.
Is there any way to get skins other than buying them?
No. Streaks and purchases are the only two paths, and they are what keep the App ad-free and tracking-free.
Is my data uploaded to your own servers?
No. Tap records, unlock state, and settings all live in a local SwiftData database on your device.
If you turn on "Settings → iCloud Sync", your data syncs through Apple's CloudKit private database (iCloud.com.fallenjie.zenwoodenfish) under your own Apple ID — the Developer cannot access it. CloudKit is Apple's service, so the data lives on Apple's servers, not ours.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The App is fully usable offline; no feature needs a network connection.
How do I reset my data?
Settings → Reset clears your tap records and unlock state. To remove everything, delete the App: iOS Settings → General → iPhone Storage → ZenTap → Delete App.
How do the Apple Watch and Widget work?
- Apple Watch: open ZenTap on your Watch and rotate the Digital Crown to tap. Data syncs with your iPhone automatically.
- Widget: touch and hold your iPhone Home Screen → add the "ZenTap Widget" to see today's taps and your streak. Lock Screen widgets work too.
My reminder notification isn't firing
Check these in order:
- Is the "Reminders" switch turned on in Settings?
- iOS Settings → Notifications → ZenTap → Allow Notifications
- Is a Focus mode silencing ZenTap?
Can I use my own sound?
Not yet. All four tones (Ancient Temple / Deep Night / Empty Valley / Morning Bell) are synthesized locally with DSP — no audio files are loaded, which keeps the App tiny and fully offline.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds follow the Apple App Store policy: <https://support.apple.com/HT204084>. Non-Consumable purchases can be refunded within one year; the Developer does not process refunds directly.
Does the App upload my photos?
No. Album write permission is requested only when you tap "Save to Album", to store your share card. The App never reads or uploads any photos.
